This draft is a welcomed step for the furthering of Culture and all that it environs. However the Marketing of all the genres such as plays, books painting should be an important aspect in the future. The government should help in the structuring of certain rules and places where this literature, arts , music, etc are sold, how sold, and where they can be sold in the local market and abroad.
Well to be very honest at one time I did think that this government had Culture at heart but now I’m not so sure.
It really doesn’t do much to encourage Art or Sport at school level and really not all that much at National level although these last few years we have had many people trying very hard to get Art and Sports at all levels.
The fact that this govt has become so obstinate and so obtuse in Not reading the peoples wishes re a decent National theatre/Contemporary Art Museum which we so lack but will go ahead in spending millions on a building tht no one wants is one big example of how much or how little this govt – with particular reference to Dr. Lawrence Gonzi -cares.
